Terms of Service

Welcome to Ecdesign AI. By accessing or using our AI photo tools at ecdesignai.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them before using the Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough under your local law to agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, you may only make a purchase with the consent of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for activity under your account, and for keeping access to your email secure, since signing in uses your email address.

The Service provides AI-powered photo editing, including the AI Clothes Changer. You supply a photo and either select a style or describe an outfit, and the Service produces a new image. You may also supply garment reference images. Some features are available without signing in; others require an account, credits, or a subscription.

Ecdesign AI is an independent product built as an interface over third-party AI models. Unless we state otherwise, we are not affiliated with or endorsed by the providers of those models.

AI output is probabilistic. The same inputs can produce different results, and a result may contain flaws, distortions, or details that do not match your reference. A generation that completes but produces an image you do not like is not a fault of the Service and is not by itself grounds for a refund. Review every image before you publish or rely on it.

We may change, add, or withdraw tools, models, and features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will give notice before it takes effect. Generations run one at a time per account, so a new run starts once the previous one has finished.

By using the Service, you agree to:

• Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Upload only photos you have the right to use, with the consent of any identifiable person in them.
• Not attempt to circumvent credit limits, rate limits, content safety measures, or any other limitation or security measure.
• Not create multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits.
• Not automate access without our written permission, and not probe, scrape, or overload the Service.
• Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose, or to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.
• Not resell or reproduce the Service itself, or use its output to train a competing model.

Every tool is priced in credits, so the cost of a run is known before you start it. Current prices are shown in the app and on our pricing page. We may change prices; a change applies only to runs made after it takes effect.

What things cost

One AI Clothes Changer image costs 4 credits.

Free credits on sign-in

Signing in on any day grants 10 free credits, enough for 2 clothes changes. They expire 24 hours after they are granted and do not accumulate. Registering counts as that day's sign-in rather than earning a separate bonus.

Trying it without an account

You get one generation without signing in. If that run fails for a technical reason, the attempt is returned so you can try again.

Subscription credits

Credits included with a plan are granted at the start of each billing month and expire at the end of that month. They do not roll over: your allowance is the same each month rather than accumulating.

Order of use

When you hold credits with different expiry dates, the ones expiring soonest are spent first.

No cash value

Credits are a licence to use the Service, not currency or property. They cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash, and expired credits are not restored.

What you upload stays yours

You keep all rights in the photos and text you provide. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and transmit them for the sole purpose of running the tool you asked for, providing your history, and supporting and securing the Service. That licence ends when the content is deleted, except where we must retain something to comply with the law. We do not use your photos, prompts, or results to train our own AI models, and we do not use them in marketing without asking you first.

The images you generate

Subject to these Terms and to your account being in good standing, paid subscribers may use generated images for personal and commercial purposes, including product pages, advertising, and social media, without a watermark.

AI output is not necessarily unique. Another user with similar inputs may receive a similar image, so we cannot promise exclusivity and cannot guarantee that an output is protectable by copyright in your country. You are responsible for ensuring that your prompts, uploads, and resulting outputs do not infringe third-party rights, violate applicable law, or breach these Terms — including whether you hold the rights to the person, garment, brand, or setting depicted, and whether a disclosure that an image is AI-generated is required where you publish it.

Our materials

The Service itself — the software, the site, our name and logo, and the example images we publish — remains ours. These Terms do not transfer any of it to you. Example images shown on our site demonstrate the tool and are not licensed for your own use.

Our privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: we process the photos and instructions you submit in order to produce your result, we transmit them to the model provider that generates the image, and we do not sell your personal information or use your content to train our own models.

Requests from visitors who are not signed in are processed with minimal retention. For signed-in users we retain what is needed for account features, history, credits, subscriptions, billing, support, and security protections.

The applicable pricing, billing terms, and entitlements are presented at checkout and on our pricing page. Payments are processed by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record for purchases made through Ecdesign AI. Your order is sold to you by that provider on our behalf, and it is responsible for the payment transaction, invoicing, and any applicable sales tax or VAT. The charge on your card or bank statement will show the name of our payment provider rather than our own — if you do not recognise the name, this is why. Contact us before disputing it and we will identify the charge for you.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
• Prices are shown in US dollars. Tax may be added at checkout depending on your location.
• You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively cancel benefits already provided for the current period: your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and that period's credits remain usable until they expire.
• If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend paid features until payment succeeds.
• Changing plans takes effect as described at checkout. Upgrading grants the new plan's credits for the new period; downgrading applies at the next renewal.

You may not use the Service to generate or attempt to generate:

• Any image of a person under 18 with clothing altered or removed, under any circumstance and regardless of intent.
• NSFW, sexually explicit, nude, semi-nude, sexually suggestive, or pornographic content, or intimate imagery of any person without their explicit consent.
• Content using someone's likeness to impersonate them, to imply an endorsement they have not given, or to deceive.
• Content that harasses, abuses, exploits, defames, threatens, or sexualises a real person.
• Hateful, discriminatory, or offensive content, including content promoting violence against people on the basis of a protected characteristic.
• Content that infringes intellectual property rights, including copyrighted photography and brand assets you are not licensed to use.
• Violent, deceptive, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful content, including misleading identity or verification documents.

Requests are screened by the model providers' safety systems as well as our own. We may block, remove, refuse to process, or restrict access to content or accounts that breach these Terms or create legal, safety, or abuse risk. A termination caused by a breach does not entitle you to a refund.

We report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities. To report misuse, email support@ecdesignai.com with enough detail for us to locate the content.

As a general rule, purchases of digital and virtual products are non-refundable once the billing period has started, because credits are consumed immediately and the cost of a generation is incurred the moment it runs. The following apply automatically, without you having to ask:

Technical failure — credits returned

Credits are deducted when you submit a generation. If the run fails for a technical reason — a timeout, an error on the model provider's side, or a fault on ours — the credits are returned to your balance automatically, keeping their original expiry date.

Content blocked — credits not returned

If a request is refused by content-safety checks, the credits are not returned. The upstream model has already run and billed us for that request.

Result you do not like — no refund

A generation that completes successfully has been delivered, even if the image is not what you hoped for. See the note on AI output in the Service Description.

Billing problems and refund requests

If you were charged in error, charged twice, or the Service was unavailable for a sustained period during your billing month, email support@ecdesignai.com within 30 days of the charge with your account email and the date and amount. We review refund requests case by case and aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. A chargeback costs both sides time and fees, and a billing problem is almost always faster to resolve directly. We may suspend an account with an unresolved chargeback.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights you have under the law that applies to you, including a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right. Note that where you have already started using a digital service, that right may be reduced or lost under your local law.

While we aim to maintain continuous availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party model providers and may be unavailable during maintenance, an outage, or an upstream failure. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service, and may suspend access — with notice where practical — to protect the Service or other users, to comply with the law, or where we reasonably suspect a breach of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains what is deleted and what must be retained.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that output will be accurate, unique, error-free, or suitable for your purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these Terms excludes any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.

You agree to cover our reasonable losses, including legal costs, arising from a third-party claim relating to content you uploaded or generated, or to your breach of these Terms — in particular a claim about a person's likeness, image rights, or intellectual property.

If you have a complaint, please contact us at support@ecdesignai.com before taking any other step, so we can try to resolve it — most issues are billing or account problems we can fix quickly.

We may modify these Terms at any time. The effective date at the top reflects the current version, and we will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and, where the change materially affects a paid plan, by email before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply, and not enforcing a provision on one occasion does not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the Service.
